We offer assessment and prescription of wheelchairs to help meet your unique mobility needs. We start by understanding what your needs and goals are, completing assessment/s as relevant, and working with our trusted network of suppliers to organise trials to ensure we find the best fit for you.

We offer assessments for floor, gantry and ceiling hoists, including slings, to be support your transfer needs. Our goal is to make sure you, and any support people involved, are safe. We take into consideration your personal and environmental needs, alongside your preferences.

We can support you in finding the most appropriate commode chair to meet your needs, taking into consideration the way you transfer, your environment, and other factors, to ensure we work with you to find the most appropriate equipment.

Sometimes a hoist isn’t the most suitable transfer aid. We offer assessment and prescription of other transfer equipment including standing hoists. We can also work with you to identify any unique transfer solutions to fit your specific circumstances, and consider your transfer preferences in the process.

Some people may prefer a mobility scooter to a wheelchair. We can work with you to complete assessments, trials and prescriptions to determine if a mobility scooter is suitable and safe for you. With many scooters available on the current market, our goal is to find the best fit to match your needs.

While we here at Swich Rehab love to see people return to independently driving, this is not a service we are specifically trained in. However, we are happy to refer you on to Driver Occupational Therapy services if returning to safe and independent driving is a goal for you.
